Early Life:

Olubukola Bekes was born on the 10th of September, 1980 in Lagos state Nigeria. She is the 4th child of a family of 6. She grew up in Mushin area of Lagos. She started singing at the age of 8 as a member of the children’s choir then. Few years later, while she was a teenager, She was told by an adult choir leader that she sang so much like an adult and was then invited into the adult choir. Her mother has always prayed for her, taught her how to fast and pray, took her for vigils, taught her the dynamics of seed sowing and much more. Her mother was a great influence in her spiritual life. Bukola was a very timid lady, but after she got married and saw the actions of her husband, a pusher and a risk taker, she was influenced by him.

Bukola Bekes has led the Redeemed Christian Church of God choir, and has also composed most of the songs for the choir, during the Holy Ghost conventions and special services.

Ministry:

Bukola Bekes is currently one of the Praise and Worship leaders of the Redeemed Christian Church of God City of David parish, Lagos Province 4, which is located at the Trinity Towers, Chief Yesufu Abiodun Way, Oniru Industrial Estate, Maroko in Victoria Island, Lagos. Motto: “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever” – Hebrews 13:8.

Bukola Bekes also has a band known as “Olubukunola Bekes and The Paradise Minstrel”. She released three albums in 2019, “Osuba Re, Jehovah, Yadah”. She has also ministered in several conventions across Nigeria and beyond. She has shared stages with other gospel musicians like Pastor Kunle Ajayi, Kirk Franklin, Ron Kennoly, Mike Aremu, Sammy Okposo, Brian Cage, etc.
