Samson Uche Mogekwu aka Samsong is an Abuja-based Nigerian Gospel artiste. He was born on the 30th of November, 1974 in Delta state, Nigeria.
It was in high school that he discovered his music talent, and also earned the name ‘Samsong’. He is a graduate of Accounting from Ambrose Alli University in Ekpoma, Edo state.

In his music career, Samsong formed a quartet, “Praise Creation”. This quartet was signed to Ivory Music Label.  Their first album “Best of Life” was released in 1996. Sooner, the group broke up and Samsong, now a solo artist released his first CD “Count your Blessings” in 2002. It was a huge success, and he won “The Psalmist Award” that same year.

Later on, he kept releasing more albums, some of which are Still Counting, Church Boy, On Top of the world, etc. He has performed in different concerts in and out of Nigeria. He has also shared the stage with some other renowned gospek artistes like Donnie McClurkin, Marvin Winans, Panam Percy Paul, etc.

Samsong won Best Male Vocalist of the year at the Today’s Music Award in 2004. He has also won Best Gospel Artist at the NEA in New York City, and many more awards.
